“Beyond Words” video stills 2017 - 2019

I started asking the question two years ago, “What is one word that describes how you feel at the moment of time in the world?”

I invited friends and acquaintance to submit a word for this project. As time passed a second question was added, “What does humankind need at this point to move forward?”.The words in both English and traditional Chinese characters were superimposed on top of images,

photos I took over a ten year period. The use of traditional Chinese character is a way to honor my Hong Kong Chinese Heritage.
