About Me
Ming Mur-Ray, a multidisciplinary artist, has exhibited her work in numerous national and international museums, galleries, and private collections, including:
The Guggenheim Museum, Walker Arts Center, PS1, Chicago Art Institute, International Artitst’s Museum, Lodz (Poland), Gallery Kutschstall (Germany), Yad Vashem Museum (Jerusalem), and The Hong Kong Arts Center.
Her work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker Magazine, and Art in America.
Her work is socially and politically engaged, with numerous multi-media installations addressing issues of censorship, identity, and gentrification.
Mur-Ray was born in Hong Kong and received her MFA from the University of Cincinnati, and BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design. She lives and works in Oakland, CA
